An open invitation to make a movie for Frieze Art Fair

Frieze Film 2008: Road Movie invites filmmakers and artists to
take Cormac McCarthy's 2006 novel The Road as their starting
point for an experiment in filmmaking, which will be produced and
distributed on YouTube. The final result will be the first
multi-authored fractal film assembled by the artists and curator
out of the sum of submitted parts. It will be viewable online at
www.friezefoundation.org/film and edited versions will be shown
on Channel 4 TV's 3 Minute Wonder Slot, Monday 13 to Thursday 16
October.

Winner of Writer's Prize announced
-----------------------------------------------------------------
William Gass is the winner of the 2008 Frieze Writer's Prize, he
will receive a prize of £2,000. The runners up for 2008 are
Graham T. Beck and Conor Carville. Kate Forde, Tyler Friedman,
Clay Lerner, J. MacNeill Miller, Chris Moore and Marianne
Templeton have been highly commended. Jennifer Higgie, co-editor
of frieze commented, 'The volume, quality and international scope
of entries we received this year reflects the growing interest in
frieze's commitment to encouraging new writing.'

Sculpture Park Expands
-----------------------------------------------------------------
The Sculpture Park at Frieze Art Fair almost doubles in size this
year and features works by 15 artists including Liz Craft, Dan
Graham, Michael Sailstorfer and Kishio Suga.

For the first time bursaries were made available, thanks to
sponsorship by Heath Lambert Group incorporating Blackwell Green,
enabling innovative and diverse proposals that may not otherwise
have been realised. The Sculpture Park is located in the
beautiful English Gardens, a short walk to the east of the
entrance to the fair. Entrance is free. For a full list of

Frieze Education programme announced

Frieze Education, which takes place annually in the Deutsche Bank
Education Space within Frieze Art Fair, will work with ReachOut
RCA for the first time in 2008 to realise its artist-led, Frieze
Art Fair-inspired, programme of events for children and young

Invitación para todos aquellos que quieran participar en un corto que se va a filmar en La paloma durante el mes de Septiembre.
La participación es honoraria colaborando en la realización de un corto que realizara un taller independiente de cine digital de La Paloma.
El corto es la historia de una persona que recibe un bien en herencia y debe tomar una decisión sobre el destino de este.
La convocatoria es este domingo 7 de septiembre de 2008 a las 14 horas en la playa De los botes frente al restaurante Puerto Chico.
